It has been so bizarrely warm, on your side of the pond and ours. The forecast here says we finally get some frost this weekend. I am uncharacteristically pleased about it as I have a new thingummy for keeping the ice off my windscreen at night and I want to test it out!
Cailleach shook her petticoats last night and gave us quite a snowy layer. Now the winds and sub-zero temps are on the way. Wonder where She has been and what She has been up to the last month or so?
No snow here either, but finally frost, and car window scraping, and the most breathtakingly beautiful white foggy fields between our village and the next.
And the traditional lunatics on the roads who forget it takes longer to stop when it's icy, sigh.
Dear Lynn it sounds like you did right this morning, playing hooky with Little Lad. Heavenly to stay in PJ's whilst everyone else has to get ready and go out into the cold!
I keep looking longingly at freshly baked artisan loaves on the cookery programes on tv, and of course they seem to be on EVERY channel! "Get thee behind me wheaty scrumptious bread."

Oooh love the birds.
Cold and wet here in Virginia now, but not quite cold enough for snow. Sigh.

We had frost last night and it stayed around for quite a while, it was so good to see it at last.
